Jodie Kelley's Baked Lasagna
Bear's Anecdote - Bear can really stuff himself with this stuff. It is so good, you really don't want to stop eating.
- 1 lb Lasagna noodles
- 2 16oz jars meatless tomato sauce
- 1 lb ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese, sliced thinly
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced or chopped finely
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package.
- Drain noodles and keep warm.
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic.
- Add sauce, salt and seasoning
- Simmer for 15 minutes or so
- In a separate bowl, combine eggs and ricotta cheese
- Grease a 9x12 or larger baking pan
- Arrange a layer of noodles crossways on the bottom
- Add a layer of meat sauce
- Add a layer of ricotta mix
- Add a layer of mozzarella
- Add a layer of noodles lengthwise
- Add a layer of meat sauce
- Add a layer of ricotta mix
- Add a layer of mozzarella
- Add a layer of noodles crossways
- Just keep going
- Top with sauce
- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until cheese is bubbly
